Dental Emergencies

When dental emergencies arise, we will make the time for you by staying late, shifting appointments, and focusing on getting you out of pain. Don't wait — call us immediately.

Common Dental Emergencies

  • Damaged teeth (cracked, broken, or chipped)
  • Injured soft tissues (gums, tongue, cheeks)
  • Avulsed (knocked-out) tooth
  • Failed or lost restorations

What to Do in an Emergency

Broken Tooth

Rinse your mouth with warm water, apply a cold compress to reduce swelling, save any fragments, and call us immediately.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Handle the tooth by the crown only — never touch the root. Rinse it gently, try to reinsert it into the socket or keep it in milk, and come in within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving it.

Soft Tissue Injury

Apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth, rinse with warm salt water, and come in for a professional assessment.
